Allowing iPhone app devs distribute apps on their own would go a long way to address Apple’s gatekeeper problems. It’d have to be true side loading though—not the crippled kind that currently exists…

@mike_ho I’d argue that on Mac computers, Apple’s want to control UI is irrelevant since devs can do as they please. iPhone is a computer.
